India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle is set for liftoff Monday with five satellites for France, Germany, Canada and Singapore.
The 146-foot-tall booster will launch at 0422 GMT (12:22 a.m. EDT) from the "First Launch Pad" at the Satish Dhawan Space Center on India's east coast. Launch will occur at 9:52 a.m. local time at the space center.
The primary payload on the rocket is France's Spot 7 satellite built by Airbus Defence and Space. Spot 7 carries a sharp-eyed camera to collect images of Earth for commercial sales.
These photos chronicle the assembly of the four-stage PSLV on the launch pad in India.
