 Forecast for Monday, September 8

Issued: Friday, September 5
Launch Weather Officer: 45th Weather Squadron

Synoptic Discussion: "Forecast guidance has remained consistent. Tropical Storm Henri in the northeast Gulf of Mexico will slowly move toward the west Florida coast; crossing the peninsula north of a line from Tampa to Daytona Beach. Numerous showers and thunderstorms with gusty winds and heavy rainfall will occur across Central Florida on Friday and Saturday associated with this strengthening storm. The system will move off the east Florida coast by early Saturday evening.

"Drier air will begin to move into Northern Florida on Sunday with decreasing cloudiness and threat of showers. Isolated showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon will pose a slight threat to countdown activities and dissipate by early evening.

"The most probable impact during the window will be residual cloudiness and/or thunderstorm anvils."
