 Forecast for Thursday, August 21

Issued: Tuesday, August 19
Launch Weather Officer: 45th Weather Squadron

Synoptic Discussion: "Thunderstorms today will form along the seabreeze early-mid afternoon near CCAFS. After initial development the seabreeze boundary will move inland with individual storms slowly moving northward along the boundary. Slow moving storms will produce heavy accumulating rainfall and extensive lightning. Conditions expected to change little through Thursday. These afternoon storms could impact early countdown activities but should dissipate through the evening. The most probable impact during the window will be residual cloudiness and/or thunderstorm anvils."

Clouds: Scattered at 3,000 feet with 2-3/8ths sky coverage and tops at 5,000 feet; Scattered-to-Broken at 14,000 feet with 2-3/8ths sky coverage and tops at 18,000 feet; Broken at 26,000 feet with 3-4/8ths sky coverage and tops at 29,000 feet

Visibility: 7 miles
