Photo Gallery: Final shuttle poised on launch pad

After motoring from the Vehicle Assembly Building overnight, the shuttle Atlantis reached launch pad 39A early June 1 to begin final launch preparations. Atlantis is scheduled to lift off July 8 to close out the space shuttle program. Spaceflight Now got an all-access tour of the launch pad just a few hours after Atlantis arrived.
