Aerial views of Endeavour in streets of Los Angeles

Spaceflight Now took to the skies over Los Angeles on Friday to photograph the space shuttle Endeavour as the retired spaceship made her way along La Tijera Blvd. toward Manchester Ave. on the second leg of the two-day journey from Los Angeles International Airport to the California Science Center.

Pilot Ryan Samala from Star Helicopters took the Spaceflight Now team aloft in a Robinson R44 light chopper from the Hawthorne airport adjacent to SpaceX, crossing LAX and then intercepting Endeavour to circle over the space shuttle at altitude of 1,000 feet.

See our coverage of Endeavour's ferryflight.
