Launch weather forecast
Posted: February 12, 2007

 Forecast for Thursday, February 15

Issued: Monday, February 12
Launch Weather Team: 45th Weather Squadron

Synoptic Discussion: "Developing low pressure system over the Gulf of Mexico will bring a threat for rain and thunderstorms Monday through early Wednesday. Surface low pressure will move up the eastern seaboard allowing the accompanying cold frontal boundary to move through Central Florida on Wednesday. Surface high pressure will build in the wake of the cold front and usher in much cooler and drier air.

"The main concern will be for thick layered clouds and isolated light rain that will continue to stream across the Gulf of Mexico and Florida."

Clouds: Stratocumulus few at 5,000 feet; Altocumulus scattered at 10,000 feet; Cirrus scattered at 25,000 feet
