Broad areas of moisture move up from the South enhancing broken layers of mid and upper cloud. A dominant Southwesterly flow in the lower levels persists over the Eastern Pacific, and a surface trough along the coast keep winds Westerly at 12 - 18 knots while thick marine layer stratus dominates. Upper level winds are Southerly at 35 - 40 knots." 24 Hour Scrub Forecast: "The low weakens overnight and broad high pressure aloft shifts Easward. This keeps the bulk of mid level moisture East of Vandenberg. Marine layer stratus will continue to dominate with very low ceilings and visibility during the evening and overnight hours, while surface winds stay Southwesterly at 12 - 18 knots. Upper level winds stay Southerly 30 - 35 knots."
