Issued: Tuesday, May 23 Launch Weather Officer: 45th Weather Squadron Synoptic Discussion: "No significant changes. Surface ridge will remain located over central and southern FL. Upper level low pressure over the western Gulf will slowly move eastward and allow tropical moisture to slowly advect northward. Deepest moisture will mostly still confined to the southern half of FL. Deep influx of moisture will not occur until the surface ridge breaks down and moves eastward. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will develop along sea breeze boundary as it moves inland during the afternoon, again mainly in areas south of the Cape. "Vehicle exposure concerns right now appear to be low but will be monitored closely. "Main concerns during the launch window will be for 54 ft level winds > 15 KT (wind direction dependant) associated with the afternoon sea breeze, and for clouds within 10 NM that are associated with any isolated thunderstorms that may develop."
