A 191-foot-tall Long March 2F rocket rolled to the launch pad Saturday at the Jiuquan space center in northwest China's Inner Mongolia province.
The Shenzhou 9 spacecraft is bolted atop the booster, which is due to blast off with three astronauts some time in mid-June. Their mission is to dock with the Tiangong 1 laboratory module in orbit 200 miles above Earth.
