After a two-day chase through space, China's Shenzhou 8 capsule successfully docked with another module in orbit Wednesday, catapulting the nation into elite company with other space programs like Russia and the United States.
The docking between the Shenzhou 8 and Tiangong 1 spacecraft occured at 1728 GMT (1:28 p.m. EDT), and the two modules were locked together eight minutes later.
