Atlas rolled to launch pad Posted: October 9, 2007 The Atlas 5 rocket was transported from the Vertical Integration Facility to the launch pad at Cape Canaveral's Complex 41 at 10 a.m. EDT this morning. The rollout came 34 hours before the rocket's planned liftoff on a mission to deliver into orbit the Air Force's highest capacity communications satellite -- the first Wideband Global SATCOM spacecraft.
