Posted: April 20, 2006

 Forecast for Thursday, April 20

Issued: Thursday, April 20
Launch Weather Officer: 45th Weather Squadron

Synoptic Discussion: "The boundary that passed through Central Florida Tuesday will remain over the peninsula through Friday introducing a small risk of thunderstorms and isolated showers over the Central peninsula.

"For today, a broad area of lower pressure persists over Central and North Florida. Expect West winds through mid-afternoon becoming Easterly gusting to 18 knots during the window.

"The primary concerns for today are thick clouds and disturbed weather associated with the sea breeze dynamics and the remnant boundary. Proton flux for 10 MeV energetic particles is forecast at normal background levels.

"Conditions remain similar in the event of a 24 hour delay with thick clouds and disturbed weather the principle concerns."

Clouds: Strato-Cumulus Scattered at 2,500 feet with tops at 4,500 feet; and Cirrus Broken at 25,000 feet with tops at 28,000 feet
