The Lockheed Martin Atlas 5 rocket is rolled from its Vertical Integration Facility assembly building to the launch pad at Complex 41 on July 17, 2003. Its mission carrying the Rainbow 1 direct-to-home TV broadcasting satellite marked the first launch of the Atlas 5's strap-on solid rocket boosters and the 500-series configuration with the larger nose cone.
